This week we are releasing a significant update to the Xcalibra trading platform. The cryptocurrency ecosystem continues proliferating, and in lock step we continue to improve the experience of our members and elevate the performance of the platform. This update includes improvements to the charting interface, buy/sell widgets, enhanced loading times, and notably a trollbox rebrand.
We have rebranded the trollbox to be called Members' Live Chat. From now on, only fully verified traders will be capable of joining the discourse, and we feel that this rebrand will foster more wholesome discussion and bring an end to the previously occurring unsolicited drive by trolling from partially registered accounts :)
A notable update in this release is to the Charting Interface. We have separated the volume graph from the price chart in order to improve the experience when analyzing the historical and real time chart data. Before this update, a volume spike would overlap with the pricing candles which is now corrected with the recent change to the charting interface.
In addition, traders who analyze the charts with calculators and drawing tools will have their modifications saved per trading pair even after you log out. This way you can always come back to your analysis in between trading sessions knowing your chart modification are saved automatically as they are drawn.
Besides these notable updates, some additional minor bug fixes in the charting display have been made to give a smoother experience.
Further, we have made a notable improvement to the Buy/Sell widgets found on the main interface. These widgets have now been linked to the order book making the total estimator when placing an order more aligned with the present state of the orders in the market. Now, when you click on the order book, it will fill in the quantity and reflect the price collectively straight from the order book.
This update is consistent across the order types and it will enhance your available information at the time of placing an order by automatically calculating estimates using the order book data at that moment.
This update also improves the speed and reliability of switching between market pairs. We have optimized the way the platform handles transitions when selecting different pairs so that there is less lag and less data usage which translates into smoother loading experience while using the exchange. This way you will be able to switch between markets knowing that the platform will respond rapidly while you react to changes in the market.
We are so glad to provide you with this update, and we continue to monitor and analyze ways in which we can improve your trading experience at Xcalibra. As the cryptocurrency markets become ever more prevalent we remain on the path of providing you the best service with speed and reliability.
Thank you, and best of luck in your endeavors!
]]>These events are generated when something happens regarding your account that might have security implications. For example, when you (or someone else?) logs in, requests password reset, changes email address, and so on. You can filter security events based on the event type. And like all other reports at Xcalibra, you can also export them to CSV for importing into your own system.
We plan to continue working on this system, and further improve the safety of Xcalibra customers.
This release also puts forward integration requirements for the CCXT trading api aggregator to add Xcalibra and the Safex pairs to the global trading environment. The CCXT library enables a single interface to interact with most cryptocurrency exchanges and we have made it possible to be among them for those trading with automation.
Besides that, we also made numerous smaller improvements and fixes:
We have paved the way for an upcoming release, so stay tuned for Xcalibra 1.17!
]]>All Xcalibra users are required to verify their phone numbers before November 30, 2020.
To confirm a phone number, the user will need to enter the verification code received via SMS. The whole procedure will take just a few minutes.
Those who do not verify phone numbers before November 30, will not be able to deposit or trade after that date. However, they may withdraw funds until March 31, 2021 or verify a phone number to resume trading.
]]>The primary goal of this release was to add functionality in support of the new phone verification requirement. New users will be asked to supply their phone number during KYC 1 check, while existing ones will be able to submit their number straight from the main UI.
We also made a number of internal improvements (for example, faster load times when you first load the exchange) and smaller bug-fixes.
]]>As we have announced previously, starting today, customers without KYC will no longer be able to deposit or trade. You will still be able to withdraw funds the same as usual. If you mistakenly deposit new funds to the old address and they don't appear in the interface, please contact support and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
We have also tweaked our minimal withdrawal limit to be $20, converted to target currency based on exchange rate at the time of submission.
On the user interface side, the biggest improvement in this release is a new session expiration flow. We are now much better at tracking when you step away from keyboard, and show a warning before you are logged out due to inactivity.
In addition, we made the following smaller tweaks and fixes we'd like to highlight:
Managed users will be able to buy and sell crypto assets via wire transfers, as well as have direct communication with our customer support team.
This feature will be activated on September 15th, 2020. Learn how to become a Managed user.
]]>Verification will become mandatory starting September 15, 2020. After this date, unverified accounts will be restricted to withdrawals only, for a limited period of time.
Learn more about the new rules and benefits these changes will bring.
]]>The biggest change in this release was the sunsetting of support for anonymous trading due to the platform evolving towards more a regulated financial environment.
In the process, we have added a new top-menu widget with your current verification state and any active alerts regarding your account. We are hoping this will make KYC onboarding a bit easier going forward.
Other changes worth mentioning are:
Improved Buy/Sell widget design. Different tabs now look more balanced. We have added some help texts, keyboard controls and made validation much nicer.
We are now showing server time in the bottom left corner of the screen. If your local time is out of sync, we will give you a subtle warning, so you are aware of what is happening.
Improved mobile menu, with account alerts and notifications now visible to the mobile users. We have also made it look better on tablets.
Refactored conversion rate system. The rates will now be better maintained and synced accross different screens and services.
Card payments page will now make it clearer if you don't have an ability to use it, and why.
Visual tweaks in main menu and settings pages.
And of course, assorted bug fixes and minor improvements.
